You're A Winner

 You can emerge a winner in this life and in the world to come.

There is an anointing to win, and God would have you win.

A winner is someone who wins, to win is to emerge ahead, over, or above others.

It is to beat other contestants to the reward or prize that they contested with you for.

To win is to achieve the goal, hit the mark, or get to a certain destination before others.

Sports is an area of life where winners are often seen- the trophy, the cup or medal which is often golden is the reward winners get.

Life rewards winners.

The good Book encourages us to "run that we may win".

"Run in such a way that you obtain the prize"

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it"

God's will is that you obtain success, victory, and sit on the winners seat.

Ours is a destiny of winning.

We win over enemies, over sin, over Satan, over our personal failings and flaws.

We win spiritually and we win in the physical affairs of life.

The Apostle Paul likens the spiritual life of a believer to a race, a race with a reward attached to it, a spiritual reward.

We have to "run" to receive the reward, we run to win, we run to get the prize, we don't run for nothing.

Are you running to win, are you running to receive the reward, are you running to get the prize?

A winner is someone who must have overcome distractions to win.

A winner is someone who must have set his eyes on the goal without looking back.

Winners can't afford to get distracted.

For us, distractions are temporary, we overcome them and get back in the race.

When we fall, we get back up and keep going. There is a goal and finish line in view.

"And I discipline myself like an athlete..."

We are likened to athletes in the spiritual race of life.

Athletes discipline their bodies to stay in the best physical form.

Discipline is needed to win the race.

"But the one who endures to the end will be saved"

To win you have to make it to the end, if you don't make it to the end you can't claim to have won.

To make it to the end, endurance is needed.

Learn to persevere.

Those who give up don't win, those who win don't give up.

"Winners never quit, and quitters never win"

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him"

The crown of life is the winners reward.

It is the reward of those who persevered and didn't give up.

Endurance/perseverance is a requirement to win.

"I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one takes your crown"

Make sure no one takes your crown.

Running to win is a way of ensuring no one beats you to the crown that is yours.

There is a winners crown for you in life and in eternity.

The grace to win is available.
