When Generals Need Help

A general is a high ranking officer, a leader who wields authority, has influence over others and is respected within an organization or kingdom, usually within the military.

A general is not someone we imagine or think about as needing help, well that's not the first thought that comes to mind.

A general would be someone we imagine as being in a position to help others due to his high rank and influence.

We have Generals in the human and spiritual realms, they're human and spiritual dignitaries.

In God's kingdom of heaven there is structure and  different sectors.

There is a military arm, the kingdom of God has it's own military department.

There are generals in that realm too, archangels or chief princes that other angels report to and take instructions from.

They lead their own teams.

The archangel Michael is a general in God's kingdom in the angelic order.

He leads his team of warfare angels.

In battles and during warfare, people expect our Generals to show leadership, be at the frontlines and be strong.

Such qualities are what made them leaders, promoted them, and qualified them for their high rank in the first place. Qualities God put in them and life forged in them.

In the body of Christ we have people chosen by divine calling to be Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers, and Pastors.

They are people called by divine selection to influence others and help others on their spiritual journey as God has graced them.

The get into battles on other peoples behalf, they intercede and wage war to help the life and destiny of others.

They continue the ministry of Jesus Christ on the earth through their hearts, their lives, the pulpit, their prayers and their teachings.

They are human generals in the kingdom of God.

The scriptures call them ministry gifts, they are gifts to the body of Christ.

They are leaders, good leadership is a gift.

Not every family, organization, community, or nation can boast of good leadership.

Our leaders should be gifts to us.

They should have a heart to help us and we in turn should value their work, respect them and support them.

These ministry gifts are Generals of God.

What about when Generals need help?

They can find themselves being attacked, hindered, resisted and targeted by the gates of hell.

They can find themselves being attacked by the enemy, perhaps even more than people who don't have their kind of high calling.

It is the strategy of the enemy- *strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter"

The enemy targets ministry gifts to give the Christian faith a bad name, he does so  that the sheep (their followers), those God has assigned them to may scatter.

An attack on our spiritual leaders is an attack on us, directly or indirectly.

Whether they are famous and well known or not, their spiritual offices demand our respect.

To disrespect their office is to disrespect the God who appointed them.

They are human, they need our prayers as much as we need prayer and demand prayer from them.

They are human, they are not to be used and dumped.

Anyone appointed to watch over your soul deserves your prayers and respect.

Jesus was more than a spiritual General when he was here on earth.

In his humanity there were times he needed help.

It is erroneous to think people called by God, who hold spiritual offices don't need your prayers and can't need your help.

No matter how great the calling, how unusual the divine encounter, and how anointed the General of the Lord is, he/she needs your prayers too.

Even Generals with their high callings are human and need prayer.

Those who are sensitive know we are in a season of intense warfare, its not even funny!

I follow the happenings in the body of Christ on earth as much as possible.

I like to know what's happening in the body of my heavenly Father.

I try to be knowledgeable about key players in the body of Christ, rising leaders in the body of Christ, long time Generals in the body of Christ and I make an effort to be sensitive to what God is doing and what the enemy is doing too.

More than ever before, ministers of the gospel are dying, fighting usual battles and facing health challenges on a scale that is so high!

This is not the time to mock, criticize and despise your fallen Generals, even as many are battling daily and fighting their warfare.

This is not the time to be spiritually ignorant or be insensitive.

Its not the time to lack spiritually maturity but its the time to grow up and have a proper understanding of what is going on.

War is being waged from the second heaven on the body of Christ more than ever before and the five fold ministry gifts of God are at the forefront of it.

Trauma and mental health has increased among ministers of the gospel.

Divorces and separation is on the increase among them as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

It not a joking matter.

If you cannot pray for the body of Christ and leaders in the body, you might need to check if you have a good understanding of what is really going on.

For those who have fallen from grace among them may the Lord have mercy on them to the degree He is able or wants to.

It is not all bad or evil, just as the enemy is carrying out his attacks on leaders in the body of Christ, God is also releasing grace, favor and solutions for many of them, even as He raises new and emerging leaders too.

Generals need help too.

Pray for us!

Take Sides

To take sides is to show support, to choose who to show solidarity to or the group or camp to identify with.

Taking sides has everything to do with your choice, the decision you make.

The ability to make decisions and the free will to choose is one of the rights God has given to humanity.

There will be times we have to take sides in life, since there will be times we have to be clear whose side we are on.

During those physical education classes in high school, our physical education tutors would split us into groups or two sides, and both sides would compete on the task/sport assigned.

From time to time, a fortunate student would not be assigned to a group or camp by the teacher, instead the  student is given the privilege to choose a side.

Most times that student will choose the side or group his friends are in.

When situations and cases are presented before us, we have to choose who we believe and who we doubt in the matter. Whose side we will be on and whose side we will not take,

It is wise to be on the side of Truth.

Your choice is a reflection of your wisdom, your decision is an evidence of how much understanding you have.

Use your right to choose and don't let anyone rob you of it or take it away from you, your choice is yours and an integral part of your life.

With the freedom to choose comes the need for responsibility.

The responsible know their choices and decisions have consequences.

The wise know it is not every decision people are making in the present they will be proud of or happy about in the future.

Wisdom is a huge requirement in making the best choices and decisions.

A decision can seem right in the present, yet it might leave an individual looking back in the future regretting that decision in hindsight.

Some choices and decisions are easier to make than the other, some choices are also more important than the other.

You will have to make choices and decisions in this life, make good ones.

An important decision you will have to make in this life is the decision of which camp you will belong to and identify with.

It is choice all souls must make.

It is a choice angels had to make.

It's a choice between light and darkness, good and evil, the kingdom of God and the gates of hades.

It is a choice between the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of darkness.

War once broke out in the kingdom of heaven leading to a war of stars.

This is the real life star wars, not the fictional Star Wars films created by George Lucas.

Angels are stars, they are called stars.

It happened because an influential angelic star made a poor choice, a choice to doubt his creator, a choice to question the justice of his maker, a decision to doubt the love and fairness of his God, the God who had given him everything- beauty, perfection, wisdom, charisma, leadership, anointing and rank.

He doubted the God who chose him to be an ornament of beauty and covering over His throne.

He turned against his creator who blessed him with exceptional talents for worship and instruments.

He was first in rank in terms of privilege and access to places in God other angels didn't have.

He was given an ability to choose and make decisions too.

He chose wrongly, he made a poor decision.

His choice was motivated by pride and his decision by over ambition.

He failed to understand no one can be more than what heaven permits him to be.

He chose to be a betrayer instead of the noble light bearer he had been since he was formed and forged.

He was not content being an angel, he wanted to be more than heaven had graced him to be.

He wanted worship, he wanted to create, he exalted himself, he wanted a throne above God's throne, he wanted to be God!

The Creator would not have it.

He couldn't stay in heaven.

He had lost it all, the glory, the privilege, the access and the beauty of heaven.

He resisted his maker, he challenged his God,

He fell, and there was a void in heaven.

No angel was exactly like Lucifer in uniqueness, charisma and talent.

He had to be replaced, there was a void in heaven. One of the brightest lights had fallen to darkness!

Tragic!

Man was created, Adam was made by God, he was to replace Lucifer who had become Satan at his fall.

Adam was molded from the dust of the ground not from the fires of heaven Lucifer and the angelic hosts were made from.

Satan felt insulted, his pride wouldn't take it.

From that moment, he started plotting the downfall of man.

Humanity was to be the new carriers of the glory of God.

Adam was blessed with territory Lucifer never had, God gave him the earth.

The angels were lower than him in rank, in the order of creation.

Their job was to watch over him.

No other creation carried the image and likeness of God.

Adam and humanity had the Creator's blessing!

God also gave him a wife, a companion with which to live forever and procreate, populating the earth.

That kind of privilege hadn't been extended to angels, neither could Satan comprehend the love God has for man.

He became a sworn enemy of mankind, especially the saints; those who have made God their Father and have gone back to being in God's image through the salvation Jesus brought.

For this reason, the enemy's camp works day and night to pull down humanity, especially the true followers of Jesus Christ.

There are two camps- the Lord's camp and the enemy's camp.

The camp of light and the camp of darkness.

We are in one or the other.

You don't necessarily need to do anything to be in the camp of darkness, human nature automatically recruits us there once we have reached an age of accountability.

Joining the camp of light is a translation that happens through Jesus the Savior.

It requires being sincere, being intentional about being on the Lord's side and it demands repentance.

In life we have to take sides.

We can't be in the middle.

The enemy wants you to fall like he has.

He was cast out of heaven, he lost his glory and access to the Godhead.

He lost his destiny, now he wants you to lose yours.

I will advice you don't stay in his camp a minute longer.

He cheated himself out of his own destiny, don't let him trick you into making the same error he made.

"Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Lost & Found

Losing things is not new or exactly strange.

People lose or misplace things from time to time.

From the house keys, to the car keys, to pocket money, wallets and even mobile phones; people misplace, lose things and sometimes have belongings stolen from them.

Losing, misplacing or having important belongings stolen from us can be very inconvenient,

It can be stressful and cause us a lot of pain.

Sometimes it can cause us unnecessary expense too.

Some things are just not worth losing, it inconveniences us greatly. especially items we need and use everyday.

It is almost impossible not to have ever lost anything as we journey through this life,

It is a great relief when we lose a belonging that has a sentimental value to us and its found.

When we lose our valuables and it is found in the lost and found section of our organization or some place we have been to, it makes us happy.

It is usually a happy moment to be reunited with what is ours, its nice to be able to recover what is ours.

Restoration makes us happy.

That which is valuable to us we will invest time to search for.

In the parable of the lost sheep, Jesus made that clear.

The parable of the lost sheep is a parable about a shepherd who has 100 sheep and one was missing.

Left with 99 sheep he sought for the missing one, leaving the 99 to go in search of the 1 sheep that is lost.

It is a beautiful parable showing the value of one, the value of each person, and the importance of each of us to God.

The shepherd didn't stop until he found the missing sheep. It is a wonderful parable showing the heart of God towards each of us, a beautiful story of redemption and restoration.

It is not only on the physical dimension people lose things, we also lose things spiritually.

People lose virtues, strength, essence, glory, crowns, rewards and miss harvests.

When such things happen we can encounter challenges in the physical plane, delay, resistance, and unfulfillment.

This happens when we are not vigilant.

It can happen when we are not spiritually sensitive.

It can happen due to our spiritual ignorance.

It can happen when the enemy strikes and we don't fight back.

It can also happen due to no fault of ours, circumstances beyond us.

The good news is that what was lost can be found.

The parable of the lost sheep, the parable of the lost coin, and the parable of the prodigal son shows us that it is God's will that we find that which is lost in our lives.

In each parable there was rejoicing, they had happy endings.

This shows its the Lord's will your life ends happily. You are entitled to a happy ending.

The thoughts the Lord has for you are thoughts of good and not evil that you may have an expected end.

Our end should be positive, our outcome good, and future full of hope.

God's script for our life has a happy ending not a tragic one.

That which is stolen can be returned, that which is dead can be brought back to life, that which is missing can be replaced and that which is lost can be found.

Restoration is of God and it is part of the script and story!

Similar to the loving father whose son came back home in the parable of the lost son, also called the parable of the prodigal son; may we be able to exclaim-"We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!’”

Lost but found.
