The Air Of Freedom!

I watched an episode of Texas Ranger on television, the Texas Ranger series has its protagonist Chuck Norris as a heroic ranger who often saves the day.

Chuck Norris is a good action hero, a veteran actor who has entertained action movie lovers over the years, especially those of us who grew up watching martial arts films. Chuck Norris also happens to be a Christian, he and his wife Jenny are believers who know the Lord.
He is also one of the few martial arts characters who grace our TV screens today who has the distinction of having fought and acted with the legendary Bruce Lee.
Perhaps he's the only one
However, Chuck Norris is not the inspiration for this write up but less known characters in the episode of Texas Ranger I watched.
They are "extras" on the film set, the lesser known names who make up the crowd for necessary scenes.
In life, there are lessons we can learn or glean, even from those who are the ""extras"' of life.
Everyone has a story to tell, a unique life's experience others can learn from.
What's your story? I'm sure there's a lot to learn from you.
Those extras and a few other key actors were held hostage in a building from an event, an evening dinner where they were celebrating and Chuck Norris the action guy takes out the villain and his team, saving the day.
The facial expression of those extras, after they were set free was priceless. Tied up and mentally tormented for so long they were relieved as they were set free from the building where they'd been kept bound.
As they were released to the police and loved ones outside the building it was exciting for them as they breathed in the refreshing air of freedom.
That scene reminded me that it is good to be free.
Much like Chuck Norris Jesus Christ is the hero who saves the day!
And those "extras" can be likened to humanity,, the building they were caught up in can be likened to our world system.
When we accept the Lords sacrifice, we are released into freedom, free from the villain's grip (Satan's hold).
The freedom the extras who made it were released into, outside the building where they were held hostage can be likened to the kingdom of God's dear Son.
Oh, the air of freedom!
When we are saved, set free from the enemy's hold and released into God's kingdom we are free and that's priceless!
We breath new air, experience new joy and truly live!
Thank you Jesus!
