Happy Birthday To Me!

 

As I type this write up, it is pouring outside, its been raining since morning .

As a man of faith that I am, I claim them as showers of blessings.

365 days sure goes quick!

I'm no spring chicken. 🤣

But I think I look younger than my age, 😁

It's commonly said that "time flies"

I guess so, it's obviously moving at a quick pace. 

I'm a year older today, it's my birthday!! 🎂

Congratulations to me and thank God for life. 🤟

Congratulations to my parents too, they have been there over the years.

 I thank God for a good family network, good siblings. 

Coming from a good family is a blessing from God.

I am grateful to God for the many people I have crossed paths with in life, the many people who have become friends, the acquaintances, the teachers, the mentors, the prayer partners, and the role models.

Classmates from school, those who have kept in touch over the years, I remember you this day and appreciate and thank you for the memories and experience.

Of course, I have to remember the many online friends, acquaintances and well wishers who check up on me, keep me company, read my writings and show appreciation and kindness with their prayers, phone calls, and birthday greetings on a day like this 

As I reminisce in this birthday of mine, I can see God's hand on my life..

I'm grateful to the Lord for the journey- the past, the present, the lessons learnt, the achievements, the mistakes I've learnt from, and the hope I have for a bright future.

I'm grateful to God for His gifts in my life, the talents, the abilities and also His call on my life.

If it had not been the Lord, where would I be.

If God hadn't been on my side I would have been blown out of the water long ago.

The enemy fought hard to take me out but God had other plans.

He is faithful and merciful.

I'm grateful for His Spirit and angelic presence in my life.

Birthdays are a good time for sober and also joyful reflections.

Are birthdays an addition of a year to a life or the subtraction of a year from a life?

I guess it's a matter of perspective.

I'd like to know your thoughts regarding that question.

Whether birthdays are an addition to our years or a subtraction from our years, gratitude to God is the most important thing.
