Angels are not cute babies with wings who float about on clouds in the sky as they have been depicted a lot of times in cartoons and in paintings. Those are fictional, imaginary representations of angels.
We see real and truthful descriptions of what angels look from the Bible.
Angels have often been described in the Bible as men, as tall and intimidating because of their size and heavenly presence.
Angels are created by God for a purpose and they have a ministry they carry out for God.
They are representatives and officials of God's kingdom who have hierarchy among them.
Some are archangels or princes of the heavenly host.
An archangel or one of the princes of the heavenly host is an angel that has others angels under his command. Such an angel leads a team of other angels.
An example is the Archangel Michael who is a warrior angel and has a team of warrior angels under his leadership.
Angels worship God and take their commands from God.
Throughout history angels have always played a role in humanity's matter.
The angelic are part of our timeline, for God is a God who rules in the affairs of men.
They execute God's wish and purposes on the earth and beyond this earth.
It is in the arrangement of God, the ways of God and plan of God that He works through angels.
He sends angels on assignment to carry out his word, his prophecies, and his will on the earth.
Angels are here on earth and in God's realm too.
God's family extends between heaven and earth and angels are part of it.
Angels praise God, execute God's word and stay on their duty posts, their posts can be in paradise, on earth and wherever God assigns them.
They shine when seen in their celestial states, they reflect the light which has robbed off on them due to being in God's presence.
Angels play a role in the past of humanity, they play roles in the present and they'll play roles in our future, they are a part of the prophecy that concerns humanity.
The scripture informs that angels will be there when the Lord Jesus Christ comes back for His church.
The scripture shows us they are divine harvesters who bring in the harvest of souls, the harvest of souls of God's people into the kingdom of God in the end times and I believe at the Lord's appearing.
We see in the Book that angels ride with the Word by following Him who is also called the Faithful One and True Witness.
Angels are very wise and operate with wisdom and knowledge that is beyond the realm of this earth.
Angels play guardian roles to human beings.
Like silent super heroes they have saved lives, helped organizations, aided families, lifted prayers before the throne and golden altar of God, brought healing, been present in churches, validated callings, they've watched over children and keep watching over children and fought for people and their destinies. They minister to the saints of God (those who are heirs of salvation) through Jesus Christ.
Angels are strong.
They have strength that is supernatural compared to human strength. Strength far beyond human strength.
There was a case of one angel killing 185,000 Assyrian soldiers who were under the leadership of Sennacherib, they were enemies of God's people.
It is a beautiful thing for God to be on your side.
Angelic assistance is part of what can happen to you when God is on your side.
They are part of the fighting force of the kingdom of God and they are very effective at what they do.
Angels are patient, faithful, wise and swift.
They are also gifted with different skills and abilities.
They are unique one from the other.
They have emotions and personalities.
They play instruments too.
Their voices, the pitch and the decibels are stronger and higher, and goes further than human voices.
Their abilities and powers are grand and given to them by God.
We can always ask our heavenly Father to deploy angels to help us in every aspect of our lives.
It is an opportunity and a privilege we should take advantage of.
What a time to be part of God's kingdom!
What a privilege to have angelic assistance and support. more so in these dark and tough times and with darker days and tougher times ahead for the world.
Angels have a big role to play along with the saints in these end times which is often underrated.
Jesus Christ is the king of angels.
