If you could ask those gladiators who were used as prize fighting slaves and held in Roman prisons some two thousand years ago what the most precious thing in life is, they would tell you its FREEDOM.
Freedom dignifies a man.
All the applause, victories, and respect of the crowd and nobles watching from the side lines of those huge Coliseums did not satisfy those brave fighters who risked their lives to entertain.
Many of them fought for their freedom, they fought to be free, they fought to go back to their tribes, villages, towns or kingdoms where they had been taken captive by the imperial Roman fleet.
Only the strongest of the strongest, and the most skillful survived to actualize their dream to be free.
Free to marry, free to go back to their wives, their children, their occupation, their clan, their territory where they were respected, honored, loved, and perhaps leaders.
Freedom is for warriors, it's for those who are willing to fight for it.
Jesus Christ is the ultimate warrior who came for you and I, saved us, redeemed us and blessed us through His sacrificed, death, blood and resurrection.
Freedom is a privilege.
Jesus Christ came to set you free.
We don't have to be bound.
Like those gallant gladiators of old, let's rise up and fight too, a better type of fight. It's called THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH.
"Jesus set me free, why shall I be bound?"
