There is a day called International Human Rights day!
Human rights is basically people's rights to be free, and enjoy freedoms that give them a chance and human dignity.
Whether all countries and people live by human rights laws which all nations should uphold is a different matter.
Whether you're fighting for individual freedoms or freedom on a national scale, freedom is worth fighting for.
A hero of democracy in my home country Nigeria was once quoted to have said "the longer the road to freedom, the sweeter the fruits of victory"
Freedom has a road and path to it.
Freedom is victory.
Freedom is a fruit.
Freedom is sweet.
It is a sweet fruit.
It is the end result or outcome of what has often been a bumpy road, a difficult path to liberation.
Freedom will require a push, it may require a pull, but the key to freedom is to keep going and not give up.
Freedom has a taste, it is sweet to the soul.
You never really value that which is sweet until you've tasted that which is sour or bitter.
Those who have tasted the bitterness of bondage appreciate the sweetness of freedom.
Those who have experienced darkness value light.
Those who have been in the pit will treasure the palace.
Those who have been homeless will appreciate the blessing of a home.
Those who grew up without the comfort of a loving family will treasure the blessing of family life.
Those who have been down will not take for granted the helping hand that's lifted them up.
May the treasures, thrill, sweetness, and beauty of freedom be yours.
Jesus Christ died that you may have and experience them.
Be blessed!
