Lost & Found

Losing things is not new or exactly strange.

People lose or misplace things from time to time.

From the house keys, to the car keys, to pocket money, wallets and even mobile phones; people misplace, lose things and sometimes have belongings stolen from them.

Losing, misplacing or having important belongings stolen from us can be very inconvenient,

It can be stressful and cause us a lot of pain.

Sometimes it can cause us unnecessary expense too.

Some things are just not worth losing, it inconveniences us greatly. especially items we need and use everyday.

It is almost impossible not to have ever lost anything as we journey through this life,

It is a great relief when we lose a belonging that has a sentimental value to us and its found.

When we lose our valuables and it is found in the lost and found section of our organization or some place we have been to, it makes us happy.

It is usually a happy moment to be reunited with what is ours, its nice to be able to recover what is ours.

Restoration makes us happy.

That which is valuable to us we will invest time to search for.

In the parable of the lost sheep, Jesus made that clear.

The parable of the lost sheep is a parable about a shepherd who has 100 sheep and one was missing.

Left with 99 sheep he sought for the missing one, leaving the 99 to go in search of the 1 sheep that is lost.

It is a beautiful parable showing the value of one, the value of each person, and the importance of each of us to God.

The shepherd didn't stop until he found the missing sheep. It is a wonderful parable showing the heart of God towards each of us, a beautiful story of redemption and restoration.

It is not only the physical dimension people lose things, we also lose things spiritually.

People lose virtues, strength, essence, glory, crowns, rewards and miss harvests.

When such things happen we can encounter challenges in the physical plane, delay, resistance, and unfulfillment.

This happens when we are not vigilant.

It can happen when we are not spiritually sensitive.

It can happen due to our spiritual ignorance.

It can happen when the enemy strikes and we don't fight back

The good news is that what was lost can be found.

The parable of the lost sheep, the parable of the lost coin, and the parable of the prodigal son shows us that it is God's will that we find that which is lost in our lives.

In each parable there was rejoicing, they had happy endings.

This shows its the Lord's will your life ends happily. You are entitled to a happy ending.

The thoughts the Lord has for you are thoughts of good and not evil that you may have an expected end.

Our end should be positive, our outcome good, and future full of hope.

God's script for our life has a happy ending not a tragic one.

That which is stolen can be returned, that which is dead can be brought back to life, that which is missing can be replaced and that which is lost can be found.

Restoration is of God and it is part of the script and story!

Similar to the loving father whose son came back home in the parable of the lost son, also called the parable of the prodigal son; may we be able to exclaim-"We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!’”

Lost but found.
