Pray For World Peace

There is a lot happening in the world right now.

There has always been a lot going on in the world in one part, place and time or the other,  that being said; my reasons for stating this at this time is not far fetched.

The Iran and Israel conflict is not a new conflict, there has been tension between those two nations for decades.

They have a history, which can be traced to Biblical times.

Iran is Persia in scripture.

It's the dimension the conflict has taken recently that is concerning with America tag teaming with her closest ally Israel to bomb Iran which resulted in the death of Iran's second supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The social media space is filled with all sorts of views and opinion about what has happened with some taking sides with Israel and America and some showing sympathy for Iran.

The cyber space is loaded with regular  breaking news reflecting the views, the opinion, and perspectives of foreign policy experts, religious leaders, and some well informed and rather misguided journalistic views. Thanks to internet access and freedom of speech, those who are not players in the war at hand are releasing videos, articles, cartoons and all sorts of content to communicate their take.

With so many 'voices' out there, reflecting different sentiments and perspectives, its is easy to get carried away with every bit of information on this matter.

We must not lose focus of what really matters in all of this.

It is the after-effect of that attack on Iran the world should be concerned about right now, what it can potentially cause.

It is becoming obvious the year 2026 is one year we all need to brace ourselves for,  it is looking like its going to be one rollercoaster of a ride!

My take regarding all of this is that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes.

The scriptures make it clear that in the latter times, before the Lord's return there will be wars and rumors of wars, with nations rising against nation. This is what is playing out.

Some people are using this war development to praise certain key players in this conflict, while others are condemning certain key figures.

It all depends on what side of the isle you are on.

People of faith, those who are mature in their spiritual walk and have good understanding should know the times we are in with these unfolding developments, is a call to prayer!

Leaders are so important and we should pray for them, especially leaders over countries..

Our being diligent to pray for our leaders in our respective countries and world leaders generally is to pray for world peace.

One wrong step from an influential leader can affect millions of people negatively.

A miscalculated step  from an influential leader. can affect the globe and bring about dire consequences.

The world needs peace, that goes without saying.

While I understand the world will not have true global peace until the millennial reign of Christ, our prayers go a long way to avert evil and give us peace on a personal level and even temporary global peace.

God is merciful and he pushes back the hand of the enemy over people, communities, societies and nations.

Prayer pushes back the darkness and brings about peace where there wasn't meant to be peace.

It is so important we pray for our leaders, even the leaders of nations who are key players in the ongoing wars of Ukraine and Russia,  and  the America, Israel and Iran wars.

We need more peace in the world and less wars.

Lets handle our wars spiritually, hopefully not physically.

Let's pray for these wars to end and some peace to reign.

It's possible.

I understand human ego, the pride of nations, natural resources and minerals, and history are the major factors behind these wars.

When leaders put ego and pride over people, things get really messy.

It is time for a bit more empathy in politics!

While Bible prophecy cannot but playout on the world stage, we can at least do our own part, which is to pray.

Lots of people- individuals and families alike are hurting in Iran right now, we need to pray for them.

Lots of people- in America and Israel are anxious right now because their leaders have made decisions they were not consulted on but have to live with what the retaliatory effect might be.

We have to pray things do not spiral out of control.

Each of these nations in these wars have allies, and their allies will take sides as things unfold.

There are nations who will take sides with Iran and there are nations who will take sides with America and Israel.

Just as Nato/European nations are taking sides with Ukraine over the Russia and Ukraine war.

Russia has its own allies.

If these matters are not handled carefully and prayer is not made for God's intervention over these leaders and their decisions, the matters at hand can easily spiral downwards and out of control.

I pray there will be no World War 3.

When nations start taking sides and there is retaliation and a desire to be vindictive, very easily World War 3 can occur.

We need to rise up and pray.

We need to pray these leaders will put people first.

We need to pray for wisdom for these world leaders and their team of advisers.

Not prayer out of fear, anxiety or tension but prayer out of love for humanity.

Let's pray out of empathy for our fellow man.

Let's pray out of concern for the state of the world.

Let's pray out of respect for God's word that encourages us to pray for all men especially those in authority:

"I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.

Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity

This is good and pleases God our Savior"

The whole purpose of prayer is to please God and get answers in prayer.
