Satan also known as the devil is our archenemy.
He is the serpent that tempted and deceived Eve in the Genesis account of scripture, he is also the dragon who fought to stay in heaven but was thrown down with his minions by the archangel Michael and his heroic team of warrior angels at God's order..
One major thing we are able to gather from scriptures is that our archenemy doesn't give up without a fight.
He is no weakling.
His legend precedes him.
Snakes and dragons are both reptiles.
It is interesting to note that these are the two major animal forms he takes according to the scriptures.
He is an angel, a fallen one.
He was created in perfection but unfortunately he fell in perfection.
Unlike human beings, he sinned in a perfect state, when human beings sin we do so due to our imperfections- our flaws, weaknesses and fallen nature.
Satan chose to fall, he didn't have a reason to fall.
Sin didn't exist, he created it.
He manifested it.
He did so because he was not content being what he was created to be- an angel.
He wanted to be more than he was.
We cannot be more than what heaven has created us to be or permitted us to be.
Once one of the brightest lights of heaven before he lost his place and position, he is still able to manifest as a glorious angelic being to carry out his nefarious agenda of deceiving.
He was once Lucifer, the morning star, a prince of heaven, the most outstanding among the angelic host the Creator had unveiled.
He is now in a fallen state and reptilian in nature.
Reptiles have certain distinguishing features, their skin is part of it.
In a reptile like the snake; we see the wily, slippery and slimy nature of the enemy.
Snakes are symbolic of wisdom according to the Bible.
We are told that the serpent was the most crafty, cunning, or wise among all the animals God had created.
That was how Satan saw himself among the angelic host of heaven- the wisest and most cunning of all angels.
We are told in the Book that he was the sum total of wisdom, decorated in precious stones, built with inner pipes and perfect.
The enemy saw something in the serpent he could identify with, and chose to take on the outward image of a serpent.
We are also commanded to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves"
So the snake/serpent is a wise creature.
Cunningness is as aspect of wisdom.
The serpent has a lot of it.
It is in that nature the enemy deceived Eve.
As the Lord directed, Moses threw his rod on the ground before Pharaoh and his rod turned into a snake, serpent.
Pharaoh's magicians did the same and their rods turned into serpents too.
The serpent that is Moses rod ate up the serpents of Pharaoh's magicians, which shows us that the wisdom of God swallows up the wisdom of the enemy.
That was a demonstration which shows that the rod of God is superior to the enemy's rods, the power of God is more powerful than the enemy's power, and that which is divine is superior to that which is diabolic.
The headwear or crown of Pharaoh's often have a snake image in front of it.
Egyptians understood that the mind is where wisdom operates from, the understood the need for wisdom and that's why their kings
Snakes are beautiful reptiles.
The patterns on their skin, the smoothness of their skin and the various shades they come in make them very beautiful.
Even their eyes have coloration.
Satan was very colorful as Lucifer.
Outward beauty doesn't reveal the state of the heart.
Snakes can be lethal and very clever hunters, they are predators who don't spare their prey.
Satan is an unforgiving spirit entity who doesn't spare his victims.
Dragons are reptiles.
I believe these legendary and powerful fire emitting creatures exist.
They are trapped in caves, beneath the earth and in the waters.
My understanding is that God in His mercies to humanity has confined them.
Archaeology is beginning to justify this position of mine regarding dragons.
Since dinosaurs have existed and we see evidence of that through archaeological findings we should it be hard to believe dragons exist or have existed?
Dragons are real.
The devil doesn't turn into fictional creatures, he turns into what already exists.
He imitates what God has already created.
The devil turned into a serpent in the book of Genesis because snakes exist.
His turning into a dragon in the book of Revelation is because dragons exist.
We shouldn't be his victims.
Satan is the serpent who deceived Eve in the first book of the Bible, he is also the dragon who fought in the last book of the Bible.
He has shape shifting ability, I believe all angels do.
They are spirits and are not confined to human bodies.
Satan turned into a serpent because snakes exist, as a snake or serpent his intent is purely to deceive, mislead or distort perceptions.
As a dragon which he turned into in about two different chapters in the book of Revelations, it was to destroy, fight and annihilate.
Satan tried to destroy the glorious woman in Revelation 12 and her son who is to be a world ruler.
That glorious woman is the nation of Israel.
Her son is Jesus Christ who came to earth through that nation.
He also fought in heaven when he resisted leaving, he fought in his dragon form.
I believe there are dragons in heaven and they are very beautiful.
In whichever form the enemy comes at you- as a snake or dragon, remember the power to defeat him is in the name of our Lord, it is through Jesus the Christ we overcome!
