THE DANGER OF THE BLACK SUPREMACY THEOLOGY AND IT'S MISSING LINK.

As  far  as  skin  colour  is  concerned,  humanity  is  divided  into  black  and  white, the  man  of  colour  and  the  caucasian. All people  on  the  face  of  the  earth  fall into  one  of  these  categories ( it's not  that  the  skin  colour  of  an  individual matters  to  me) i take all men as God's creation and should therefore be respected. Any one (black or white) can be my brother or my sister, but its rather unfortunate there are many who do not share this view. I have often wondered why humanity  has to be so divisive. Is this how the creator created us or did something go wrong  with  humanity  along  the  way?
Lately  i  have  seen  and  heard  people  share  all  kinds  of  divisive  and  discriminatory  teachings  that  doesn't  promote  peace  for  humanity  in  anyway. I am fully  persuaded  that  when  man kind  was  created  it  was  in  the  will  of  God  that  all  men  should  live  in  peace  irrespective  of  their  skin  colour. THE  BLACK  MAN IS  NOT  MORE  IMPORTANT  OR  SUPERIOR  THAN  THE  WHITE  MAN NEITHER  IS  THE  WHITE  MAN  MORE  IMPORTANT  OR  SUPERIOR  THAN THE  BLACK MAN  for God is no respecter of  persons and  all  men  are created  equal.
Black supremacy teachings will only cause controversy and won't  totally  better the lot of  the man of  colour. In  it's  deception  it's  even  being  applied  to  our  faith! There  are  arguments  and  difference  in  opinion  about  whether  Jesus  is  a  black  man  or  not. Jesus  was  a  Jew. Whatever  category  you  classify  a  Jew  into  is  what  Jesus  was. If  a  Jew  is  a  black  person  to  you  then  Jesus  was  black  when   He  was  on  the  earth, if  you  categorize  a  Jew  as  a  caucasian  person  then  thats  what  Jesus  was  when  he  was  on  earth  in  the  flesh. Whether  Jesus  was  black  or  white  is  not  what  is  important, what  is  important  is  that  men  of  any colour  should  have  love  and  mutual  respect  for  one  another. Many of  these black  supremacy  teachings are  interesting  and  insightful  but  they  aren't  well  balanced  or  thought  out, it  emphasises  empowering  the  black  man or  black  community  (which  is  not  a  bad  idea  in  itself)  but  the  issue  is  which  kind  of  empowerment  are  we  refering  to  and how  do  we  go  about  it? THE  ONLY  TRUE  EMPOWERMENT  THERE  IS, IS  THE EMPOWERMENT  FROM  GOD'S  SPIRIT. Every other  type of  empowerment  is a  mirage, a distortion  and  an  illusion. Emphasising God's Spirit among the black community is the missing link in the black supremacy theology, and with the Spirit comes a wisdom that  is  the opposite of the kind commonly found in this world which comes with pride and eventually causes division. Black supremacy teachings in my opinion has only caused division.
 Just like the keys of the piano that are black and white which work together to produce  melodious sounds God  has created caucasian  and  black coloured people  to  live  and  work  together  in  unity  for  the  betterment of  the world  and  mankind. It's  when  we can  live  together  as one, it's  when  we  can  live together  in  unity  irrespective  of  the  colour  of  our  skin  or  some  difference  in  lifestyle  that  it  can  be  said  that  humanity  is  producing  the  right  'sound'  to  God's glory.

What has marriage got to do with it?

We  live  in  times  when  the  sacredness  of  marriage  is  being  ignored. But  despite  this,  the  dignity  of  marriage  cannot  be  ignored,  there  are  earthy  positions  that  are  not  offered  to  men  who  aren't  married. There  are  responsibilities  and  respect  that  a  married  man  or  lady  is  meant  to  live  up  to. Despite the wrong perspective many have  towards marriage today, a happily  married  couple  will still  be  admired  by  all.
Many  don't  take  marriage  as  a   institution  between a  man  and  a  woman  that's  for  a  lifetime  any more. Times  have  changed,  and  unfortunately  priorities  have  changed  for  the  worst  it  seems, we  live  in  times  that  people live  by  the wrong  values, and  those  seen  as  role  models  to  many, especially  to  the  youths  don't  help  matters  as  far  as  marriage  is  concerned. We  have  our  youths  looking  up  to  men  who  have  been  on  their  4th  or  5th  marriage  as  role  models. They  are  allowed  to  be  role  models  to  our  youths  in  other  areas  but  they  shouldn't  be  models  as  far  as  marriage  is  concerned! Who  should  be  the  real  stars  and  the  real  celebrities  of  this  world? We  are  looking  to  the  wrong  people, men  and  women  who  can't  even  keep  their  homes  together.
Many  are  getting  it  wrong  maritally  because  the  author  of  marriage  is  been  left  out  of  their marriages,  this  is  unfortunate. You  can't  understand  a  'product'  better  than  the  person  who  created  it. When  the  creator  has  been  left  out  of  a  marriage  things  will  most  likely  go  wrong,  when  the  Lord  is  not  given  his  place  in  marriage  we  can't  tell  how  that  marriage  will  turn  out, the  future  of  such  a  union  is  not  certain.
Many  people  get  married  for  all  the  wrong  reasons  in  these  times. There  are  many  who  choose  their  spouse  due  to  materialism  and  for financial  security, some  don't  have a  mind  of  their  own, they  are  like  stooges  who  have  been  tele-guided  by  parents  and  relatives  to  marry  a  particular  person,  some  others  don't  get  to  know  their  partner  long  enough  before  getting  married  while  many  others  'scheme'  their  way  into  wrong  'hands'  due  to  wrong  values,  lack  of  foresight  and  selfishness.
Genuine  love  should  be  the  major  reason  people  marry  but  many  don't  know  what  real  love  is.  Love  is  not  sentimentalism,  emotionalism, physical  attraction  infatuation  or  lust.  Love  is  a  mystery  that  is  rooted  in  a  choice,  true  love  has  to  be  tested  not  just  accepted  at  face  value. Love  is  a  fruit  and  it  takes  some  time  for  fruits  to develop.
A  marriage  where  there  is  genuine  love  will  wither  storms  successfully  and  'shine'.
A  married  couple  can  be  likened  to  the  sun  and  the  moon  'relationship'. The  sun  is  the  strong  light  of  the  day  while  the  moon  is  the  less  powerful  light  of  the  night. Men  rule  the  day,  they  work, they  provide  and  exercise  leadership  but  the  'time'  of  the  moon comes,  its  the  night  time, she  is  the  woman  who  determines  what  goes  on  in  the  bedroom. The  night  time  also  symbolises  darkness,  difficulty, storms  or  hardship. The  measure  of  a  woman  is  known  during  the  difficulties  of  her  marriage  and  challenges  her  husband  is  going  through. Will she  'shine'  like  the  moon  she  is  supposed  to  be  during  this  period  or  will  she  give  up  on   her  'body'.
Many  marriages  are  failing  today  because  many  couples  don't  understand  the  concept  of  ONENESS. Married  people  are  one  'body'  not  separate  entities.
The  moon  is  a  luminous  body  which  reflects  the  light  of  the  sun, the ability  of  the  moon  to  glow  is  received  from  the sun, a  woman  well  loved  by  her  spouse  will  'glow'.

The Amazing Benefits of Meditation.

There  is  an  art  to  everything  in  life, including meditation. 

Meditating  is  crucial  to  developing  our  imaginative prowess and  releasing  our  creative  abilities.

Meditation is when you take an inward journey to where you want  to  be. 

It is going within so that you will not do without based on an understanding  that everything  you  need  is within  you. 

Meditation  is  an  inward  journey  to  your  future  destination  without  having  to  move  an  inch  beyond  where  you  are.

All  the things we  need  are within,  for  " the  kingdom  of  God  is  within  you."

With meditation you develop an edge in life.

 The  place  of  meditation  is  where  we  'sharpen'  our mental  and  hidden  faculties  and  visualize  our  future  into  existence, it  is  a  form  of  prayer  and  it  has  to  it's  benefit  in  solitude, which  is   where  greatness  and  fresh  ideas  are  born.

 Meditation  should  be  a  time  of  focusing  on  that  which  is  good,  right,  positive,  commendable,  benevolent  and  intended  for  the  benefit  of  the  individual  and  all  men.

 Meditation  is  the  missing  link  in  Christianity, it  is  that  art  we  need  to  re-capture  and  make  the  most  of, it  is  a  strategy  given  to  us  by  God  Himself  which  helps  us   focus  on  His  Word  and  individual  promises He  has  given  to  us.

 In  the  place  of  imagination  and  meditation  we  develop  a  witty  mind  and  a  calm  spirit  which  is   essential  for  any  man  who  wants  to   go  places  in  life.

 In  the  place  of  meditation, our  minds  are  relaxed  yet  it's  working  creatively,  and  we  re-gain  strength  "for  they  that  wait  upon  the  Lord  shall  renew  their  strength".
 Meditation  is  a   form  of  waiting,  it  is  creative  waiting  until  we  become  what  the  desire  is.

Why the book, Makaira: the double edged sword?

Published  in  April  2011, the  book  Makaira: the double edged sword  has  attracted  different  opinions. Interestingly  and  so  far, the  response  i  have received  have  been  positive. I  am  happy  about  this  and  i  guess  i  should  be.

Those  are  some  of   the  reviews  i  have  got  so  far  and  i  know  more  is  on  its  way.
I  am  constantly  asked  what  the  title  of  the  book  means, "what  does  Makaira  mean? " A makaira  is  a  type  of  sword, it's  the  type  of  sword  the Apostle  Paul  was  refering  to  when  he  analysed  the  Word  of  God  as  a  double  edged  sword. It  is  a  greek  word  and  a  type  of  sword  armies  of  that  time  found  easy  to  use  and  efficient  during  battles. This  is  where  the  inspiration  for  it's  title  came  from.
On  a  number  of  occasions  i  have  been  asked  to  explain  what  the  book  cover  represents.
The images  on  the  cover  are  three  swords  positioned  across  each  other, they  are  right  over  the  flag  of  Nigeria. The  swords  are  meant  to  be  three  Makaira's. Why  three  swords  you  may  wonder? The Word  of  God  is  likened  to  a  sword  in  scriptures, and  the Word  we  are told  is  God. We  know  from  scripture  there  is  a  God  head- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The  three swords represent  the  trinity. The  black  background  represents  the  people  of  colour  or  dark  skinned  people  of  African. You  can  also  liken  the  dark  background  of  the  book  to  darkness  over  Africa  or  Nigeria  and  the  Word  of  God  is  piercing  the  darkness.
I  choose  the  colour  red  for  the  word  Makaira  on   the  book  cover  because  that  is  meant  to  represent  the  blood  of  Jesus  Christ.
I  have  also  been  asked  "why  did  you  write  this  book ?" I have  written  this  book  for  two  major  reasons:
1) I  enjoy  writting, and i have quiet an imaginative mind. So  i  thought,  why  not  use  my  writting  talent  and  imagination  for  something  positive. That  where  the  idea  started.
2) I  feel  i  found  a  niche. At  the moment  and  i  stand  to  be  corrected  there  isn't  any  fictional  book  written  about  Africa  with Nigeria  as  its  primary  focus that's  of  the  adventure/fantasy  genre  that  glorifies  God  and  at  the  same  time  inspires  hope. (It  has  a  happy  ending)

The Royal Wedding.

It's the 29th of April 2011, its exactly 2:07pm  and i have been watching the wedding ceremony the world has been waiting for. The long awaited marriage between Prince William and his fiancee of several years has eventually happened, theirs has been a love relationship that's attracted the attention of the world. Why wouldn't it? He is of royal stock and a major heir to the throne, she is a charming lady who has  married  into royalty. Sounds like one of those cindarella stories you would read about in a book. I am happy for them and i sincerely wish them well.
It's my belief they will be surrounded by well wishers all the days of their lives, and hopefully they must have learnt  from  history  how  it's done.

The TIMELESS music of ABBA.

''The World  will  be  a  sadder  place  without Abba''. Someone said this. Its' perhaps  true.  It  seems  their  songs  become  more  well  appreciated as  time  goes  on.  Perhaps  they  have  succeeded so  well  because  they  were  themselves  and  weren't  trying to  follow  any  particular  trend.
I  can't  but  wonder  which  of  their  songs  is  the best. Good  music  is  timeless, and  thats  what  ABBA's  music  is. A successfull band  they  were,  made  up  of  two  ladies  and  two  guys (Bjorn, Freida, Agnetha  and  Benny).
The generations  of  my  fathers  valued  and  appreciated  the  music  of ABBA, i  dont  know  anyone of  their  era  and  of  my  generation  who  listens  to  ABBA  songs  and  doesn't  appreciate  it.  I  remember  my  parents  playing  their  records  on  the  vinyl  disc  player (turn  tables?). I appreciated  their  music  as  a  kid  and i  still do. I  also  appreciated  their musical  videos, for  their  times  they  were  pioneers  of  the  pop  music  videos.
Abba  is  a  band  that  sounded great  and  looked  great  for  their time, its was the early 70's, glam -rock was at its finest, its during this time Abba wanted to get  noticed. They  have  been  likened  to  the  Spice  Girls  of  their  time. They  hoped  to  make  their  mark  outside  Sweden  and  they  did  achieve  their  aim.
Their  first  song  in  English  was  written  by Neil Sardaka. Their song  Head  Over  Heels  found  a  palce  in  the  UK  top  30 and  their  song Waterloo  became  a  world  wide  smash. As  a  band, they  have  been outsold  only  by  the  Beetles.
Supertrouper, SOS, I  have a dream, kisses of  fire, knowing Me Knowing  you, Gimme,Gimme, Gimme,Chiquiquitta are  some  of  the  numerous  ABBA  songs  that  appeal  to  a  wide  reach  of  people. Obviously  ABBA  is  no  one  hit  wonder.
